Download Server
InstantCom Download Server is a software
package for delivering downloadable aplications through
the mobile networks (Over The Air Provisioning). Users
choose an application from the catalogue accessible
over the mobile device or over the internet. After the
downloading is done, their account is charged according
to the established rules.
InstantCom Downolad Server supports
J2ME (MIDP) and Mophun provisioning. Symbian devices,
such as Nokia 7650, also supports MIDP provisioning.
Before the content is downloaded, customer chooses
application from the catalogue through one of the following
channels:
- a WAP page
- a WWW page (at the internet)
- by sending a code of the application as an SMS
Chosen application is delivered to the customer through
one of the following channels:
- WAP download from a WAP page
- WAP push (customer receives an active link, and
the download starts by activating the link)
- MMS delivery (for the devices which support that
feature)
